    Understanding the “Data Safeguarding” Mechanism

    Overview

To prevent unexpected overcharges related to roaming usage, automatic safeguarding mechanisms may be applied.
These protections are designed to control consumption and protect customers from excessive costs, particularly when using mobile data abroad.

What happens when the threshold is reached?

When a predefined consumption threshold is reached, the system may automatically trigger one or more of the following actions:

📩 Notification sent (SMS or system message) informing the customer that the threshold has been reached
Temporary blocking of roaming data to prevent any additional usage
Manual reactivation required, involving an action from the operator to continue usage

These measures are standard and are part of the roaming protection rules.

    What should customers do?

    Customers are advised to:

👀 Regularly monitor their usage, especially when traveling abroad
🧾 Anticipate their roaming data needs before departure
📞 Contact support or their operator to request:

    • an increase of the threshold,
    • a reactivation of the service.
